Dusty Was Named
One Of The "Top 10"...
In the summer of 1996, Dusty was named "one
of the Top 10 country music nightclub DJs in America
today" by the Dixie Dance Kings in Atlanta, GA
and the Southern Country dance organization. August
16th of that year, he competed against other DJs in
a National DJ Spinoff in Atlanta where he finished
fourth against some very stiff (and much younger)
competition.
Dusty has been honored by a number of charitable
organizations (including Muscular Dystrophy, March
Of Dimes, Easter Seals, the Central Florida Zoological
Society, Volusia County Fair & Youth Show and the
Florida Future Farmers Association, among others)
for his selfless work in their behalf, and was named
"Best DJ" for several years beginning in 1995 by readers of the Daytona
Beach News-Journal.
In
1996, Dusty was honored to be nominated for membership
in the Tennessee Squires Association, an honorary
fraternity in the State Of Tennessee sponsored and
maintained by the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg,
Tennessee.
