Dusty Loves His Family...
Dusty married his wife Gloria in 1982, and they
like to say that they come first after their families.
On Gloria's side are her mother and sister in Knoxville,
Tennessee and her sister's three sons and their families
in California, Indiana, and of course Tennessee. Her father passed away in January 2008.
Dusty's mother is in an assisted living facility for Alzheimers patients in the Daytona Beach area while his sister and her family,
live in Ponce Inlet, Florida. His younger brother
lives in San Fransisco, California. Dusty's father died in 2001. He has four children
from previous marriages. His youngest daughter Cassandra
is a teacher of special needs high school students
in Daytona Beach, Florida. His two sons Kellyand Brian along with oldest daughter Cathy live
in the Denver, Colorado area.
Gloria raised Cassandra from the age of 7 and it
is Gloria that she calls Mom even though she does
see her natural mother on occasion. Cassandra is the
mother of Dusty's grand-daughter Cheyenne who is better
known to the line dance world as "Sweetpea".
Gloria named the dance she wrote for Shania Twain's
"Honey I'm Home" after the child she considers
to be her own grandbaby.
